Ts a lovely painting Lew , the boat s particularly well drawn . Nothing wrong with this in my opinion it does what a picture is supposed to do , tell a story.

Not your usual style, but beautifully painted - and love the oversized moon.

I rather suspect that you can turn your hand to pretty much anything, should you wish to… This is excellent of course, no surprise there!

That is so good, Lewis, and so full of interest!!

Somehow I can see you in this Lewis, even though it’s not your usual topic. Maybe it’s the way you apply the colour. It’s lovely.

This is a lovely painting Lewis - so talented!

Something different Lew , but so well done, detail and colour.

So different for you Lewis and such a super painting.

A beautiful piece of art Lew, I like it!

Looks good Lewis, excellent boat.

Well that is certainly a change of scene Lew, and Alan is right, very successful! The boat is the highlight and it’s excellent. I’m thinking you should do more in this style.

Would never have thought this was yours Lewis. You should do more, as I think this is a lovely, fresh painting, filled with interest and painted so skilfully.

Thanks very much for your generous comments. I do intend to do more larger pictures.

Well! So different, so good, Lewis!

Looks like it belongs in a storybook, great painting.

Well, something different Lewis and I like it a lot and that large moon is the icing on the cake

So well done, Lewis - I like the moonlit atmosphere - I think it would make an intriguing book cover!

Love this Lee. Sky is great

Another great piece Lew.

It has your hallmark of quality drawing with a narrative lurking close by. Love it

An odd one. Started it a month ago, lost interest half way through. Came back to it, changed the sky completely with gouache...giving it a way oversize moon. So, now a kind of fantasy pic. Had to stop because the heat was causing the paint to dry far too quickly. Lots wrong with it, but I'm allowing myself leeway because I don't usually do this kind of thing.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
