It is amazing just what doodles turn into, certainly a fantastic drawing like this. Did you make up the words or are they from a poem? I think this could be a great project using the months of the year well done Lewis

The Christmas shindigs were over, we'd cleared up, and I started doodling. I drew the old man's face and in evolved into this. I thought it looked a bit mythic, had an attack of the Geoffrey Artspasms and wrote a piece of doggerel to make sense of it. Had I thought of the end result first, instead of last, I might have used reference material and it would have looked very different. I intend to try new things this year, but they'll probably look the same.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
