Just keep them coming, Lew. Love this!!

Brilliant - love the coloured section top left.

I did some thumbnails before starting and thought this would work, but it doesn’t for me. I kept going because I’ve given up on several pics lately, but knew it wasn’t working so I stopped. I can cut off the bottom section (it’ll be 16 x 10 inches), and paint the background with black ink. Thanks for your comments.

So good Lewis - well describes my very catholic taste in book reading!

Wonderful characters and drawing skills, Lewis!

You are too hard on yourself, Lew. The chap on the right is my favourite - should we call him Ishmael?

Fabulous characters Lew , all beautifully drawn.

Every picture tells a story, brilliant artwork Lew.

Looks really well done to me Lewis and I personaly like the idea of portraying what they are reading in the main coloured drawing. But whatever you do will be good.

Your characters are all so wonderful, absolutely unique.

Blimey Lewis are you ever, just a little bit maybe, happy with any of your illustrations? I think it's fantastic as it is, great idea and superbly drawn characters.

Brilliant! My middle child won't read you know as she cant visualise when she reads and has no narrator. How sads that.

Thanks for your encouragement, it’s the way I’ve presented the idea I’m somewhat unsatisfied with. I think I’ll add colour to the back and white readers. It may make it gel better, if it doesn’t there’s no harm done.

A really good book is like a mental movie. I always imagine the storyline as pictures, so I like the thought behind this.

Great idea Lewis.

Get lost in a book- just as you’ve depicted Lewis and the facial expressions say it all. Very well done.

The idea was to show what people were imagining while reading. But I've gone off this way of representing it. The coloured section requires more work, but I've had enough. I like the three readers. I'll cut them out and fill in the background with ink...for this, I've done that in Photoshop...I'll do it to the actual drawing (bottom right best).

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
