I think it's lovely Lew, I too love Muchas work, love the Art Nouveau period, such beautiful details and intricate work especially in the jewelry., I think you have done another great painting, love it 💕

I can't fault her lovely well painted face Lewis but she's your painting and I know that feeling of not being quite happy. Could be you've been looking at it for too long and the best thing is to turn it to the wall and come back after a few days with 'fresh eyes' but you already know that. Personally, I think it's a beautiful painting. Graceful and elegant.

Lovely work Lew. Will grace any wall. First impressions are usually a good guide.

She looks love.y to me Lewis but I know how it is when you can’t get something just as you want it but that is just our inner selves talking to us, not to be ignored but completely missed by the viewer. It is a good idea to leave it a while and go back to it with new eyes. Just a thought but I wondered if the black lines on the right gives her appearance a slightly hard look?

Personally Lewis I think it works it's her good

Thanks very much for your feedback. You may be right Carole, but one of Mucha's distinctive treatments was to put black lines around his figures. It's weird, I'm not saying I dislike it, but there's something there that prevents me putting it on the wall. (I'm sure I'm not alone it that feeling...sometimes.)

Another fabulous painting Lewis - beautiful colours and detail. I'd agree with others re leaving for a day or two and coming back to it.

Beautiful illustration work Lew, it has you're stamp on it.

If you're unsure about hanging it on your wall Lewis, fear not, I'll gladly hang it on mine!

If you must fault it (nitpick) Lew, look no further than the leading edge of the chin. Put the tip of you finger on it and see. Very easily rectified

She’s beautiful Lewis, and very much Mucha. I have a couple of Mucha mirrors in the attic somewhere......

Thanks very much for your feedback, great as always. Fiona, we have a Mucha pub-style mirror, so that means we have three Mucha style pics on our walls...unfortunately it's too big for my purposes. I think it's the expression I don't like...it's a made-up face, I've made her a bit pointy chinned and tight-lipped...as if she's ever-so slightly annoyed. I still like it, but I will have another go.

I absolutely love this Mucha style, Lewis, with the black outlining. The lilies are gorgeous. (Agree with the comment about the chin, but otherwise it's really beautiful.)

Beautiful detail in this lovely piece Lewis.

I'm trying to come up with an Alphonse Mucha style painting, to match two others I have in my spare bedroom. I posted the first attempt a few days ago...I liked the figure in that but thought I'd left the background too bare. This is attempt two, I liked it whilst doing it, not so sure now it's finished.
