Love, ratty, I feel exactly like that, some days. Santa, the total opposite, but then we never know what lies behind that smile. A nice grouping, Lewis.

As usual you delight us Lewis with your wonderful pictures - I love the surprise and glint in the eyes of Father Christmas, and the malicious look on that rat's face!

4 great images, the Father Xmas has been to Turkey for his new teeth!

Four more fabulous Coopers, the two top ones are my favourites the rat particularly it the way you gave it a human look . As they say a picture paints a thousand words.

Disney would be proud of the rat!

Rat Character is very good...

Four great characters, all with brilliant expressions 😀

I didn’t know I can feel ratty?! Well, I know it now 😉👍 The rat is very special to me, always been since I know I was born following the Chinese calendar in Rat’s year (1972)😉👍

Just love the rat!

Thanks for your comments on these drawings. Several comments about the rat. Actually I'm an admirer, although I wouldn't have them in the house. They are the great survivors. They were around in dinosaur times, their tooth marks have been found on fossil bones 75 million years old. They've come through plagues, worldwide attempts to exterminate them, and atomic bombs.

Your work is always a delight, Lewis - I admire your imagination which has produced these four super characters!

You capture a whole range of expressions really well, Lewis. Love ratty!

So expressive. I’m with you on the rat subject Lew. He’s a belter

I’m always amazed at all the different characters you manage to portray Lewis. I’m just wondering where those two eyes are coming from in the top picture, and he doesn’t seem fazed by them at all!

Four great images, Lewis. All good, particularly the character and expression of the rat. The third one has an air of Picasso and his muse to me!

Thanks again for your comments on these little pictures. Spencer...the bottom left pic is my idea of a 'modern' painting...so... Picasso and all that crowd...I like a lot of it. Quaintly, my idea of 'modern' is something that's about 100 years old.

I like your ‘modern’ best Lewis 😊

All a joy to behold Lewis.

I love Mr. Ratty……great work lewis.

Great pics Lewis, love Ratty and all the info on rats I didn’t know! Santa looks good fun with that glint in his eye😃 x

Great variety of characters Lewis. Love Santa’s new teeth.

Ratty is just superb!

All fabulous drawings 😍 Santa look super happy

These are all so good Lewis, can relate to feeling ratty sometimes

I tend to do these when I'm waiting for things to dry on a bigger pic...switching between the two. The pic top right...I'll was feeling a bit ratty, so I drew a rat...not sure it looks like one.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
