As always your skilful drawing is to be envied. Love the girl's expression Lewis. I know how frustrating it is when you don't have time for art. Have been occupied with other priorities and have to put art on the shelf for a while but I absolutely itch to get the art stuff out.

Nice work Lew. Love the

meant to finish my comment with "Treasure Island"....always gets the imagination working...(-:

Your illustration style drawings are quite superb Lew. Don't we all love Treasure Island?

Thank you Carole, Jim and Alan. I guess Treasure Island is one of those subjects you can keep revisiting.

The character of Blind Pew scared my socks off when I first read Treasure Island. I think you've got the right look for Billy Bones, though - he had reason to be anxious, and he looks it.

I agree with the other comments lewis .you do some amazing stuff

So much skill and imagination here Lewis, I too think Mr Bones could be nastier! Hope your decorating is successful and complete!

Thanks for your comments Robert, Anne and Thalia. Odd that Robert mentioned Blind Pew...I've had three attempts at him in the last couple of weeks...can't quite get him. Might post them tomorrow.

Great sketches for the greatest boys adventure story Lewis.

Your usual very skillful drawing Lewis.

Brilliant as always Lewis.

At lot going on at home. Redecorating for a start, and that takes longer these days. I've revamped our spare bedroom which is the nearest thing I have to a gallery. After rearranging my pictures I found I had a gap for two little 6 x 4 frames...so I made these drawings. Pen and Ink. I like the girl, the old bloke is supposed to be Billy Bones from Treasure Island...he needs to look a bit more brutal, I think.

About the Artist

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
