Alderman - Digital

Another great piece, Lew, and it actually looks less digital than the other one. How'd that happen? *smile* Bri

Well at least you tell us it's digital Lewis, unlike some!!! They are both fantastic drawings all the same and at least are all your own work 😀

He looks a really grumpy character, ever so well done Lewis.

Thank you Brian, Linda, and Margaret. I prefer this one to the Quihote figure.

Very well rendered Lew. I struggle to value digital work, seeing it as less 'authentic' than free hand real work...but this does not diminish the excellence of this piece. Now get your pencils out...

This was going to be part of a digital painting about Don Quihote...can't remember the layout, this was done two or three years ago. As usual with me, it was a pencil drawing scanned into my PC and painted in Photoshop. I don't do this now, but I like some of the 'remnants' I have left...like this one. I doubt there was an 'alderman' (an unelected official) in the Quihote stories, but this fella represents officialdom.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
