I always enjoy the detail in your paintings Lew. The ruching on RRHs sleeve and the cow parsley.

There is no doubting that you could have been a superb book illustrator, that was evident from your very first posting. An extraordinary talent indeed Lew, and I suspect without books or formal training. Yes, as Sylvia has said, your attention to detail gives an extra dimension.

Another beauty Lewis.

Such a good illustration Lewis.

Magical stuff Lewis. Without imagination, how dull life would be,

Like the sense of depth in this piece Lewis. Little red Ridinghood grown up. Wise to that wolf now.

Yes, Jim, totally agree, how dull indeed. Never a dull moment with Lewis! Great piece of drawing, adore her sleeves!!! Brilliant design love it!

Oh what big eyes you have !! Lovely drawing as always.

A like from me,

Really like this Lewis, such an imaginative piece.

I can hear everyone saying " he's behind you" great drawing Lewis 😀

Love the trees Lewis, very haunted woods look to them.

Superb skill as always Lewis, fantastic work.

This is done in the style of book illustration that I admire. The background trees painted in blacks and grays is often used by various artists. I used a ref photo for the older Red Riding Hood. So nothing new here, just me having a go in a style I like. Pen and Wash. A3 sketchbook.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
