This marvellous drawing has a Dickensian feel to it, Lew, although the Viking goblin is a bit of an anomaly. lol Great stuff, wonderful characters. Bri

Brilliant as ever expressive great humour and a hint of fear

As motley a crew as ever there was Lew. Magic...hey, motley crew....?

Wonderful characters Lewis. Someone really should put your marvellous characters into a novel.

Thanks Brian, Robert, Jim and Sandra, for having a look and the welcome feedback. Motley is the right word, there's no sense to this, it was done one figure at a time, and then I drew whatever came into my head. That's why I love sketchbooks.

Fantastic drawing skills. The girl looks a bit frightened but I'm not surprised with thos other 3sinister guys.

Great looking characters, I really like the way you use the water soluble pencils Lewis, it gives a softer style to your drawings 😀

Great work Lewis. Must ask you how to use Photo shop, as I seem to struggle.

I was actually hinting at a Treasure Island sort of crew Lew. I'm sure you could have a ball with that...(-:

Thanks again to all who've commented. Yes Linda, I really like the water soluble pencils, they seem quick and easy, and do have a softer look. Alan, the use of photoshop here is minimal, a few taps on the keys, the background to this drawing was white, using the magic wand selection tool I selected the white background, and then used the 'fill' tool to make the background black. (If I hadn't liked it, I would have used 'undo' to get rid of it.) Apart from the solid black background, it's all pen and pencil work.

Fabulous characters and brilliantly drawn as always Lewis, along with all your other 'characters' they're crying out to be featured in a children's book.

Smashing drawings and such expressions, Lewis! Great!

What a motley crew they look Lewis, you have such marvellous drawing skills. After I had written this I looked down and I see Jim has already said 'motley crew'. Great minds think alike!!!

A great selection of characters, Lewis.

Each so characterful Lew, very skilled work!

I just keep seeing more the longer I look at it. Another wonderful collection of characters.

Not related in any way, just sketching. I started with the old man on the left, then just added figures when I had time. Pen outlines, shading added with water soluble pencils. When I had it on my computer after scanning, I thought it might look better with a black background...added that in photoshop.
