All superb as usual, Lewis!

Some great characters again Lew, really love your imaginary people.

4 great characters once more Lewis

Top left....has to be Bill Sykes.

Super characters Lewis.

Superb selection. Top left - my immediate thought was Bill Sykes too.

Great set of drawings Lew .

Thanks for your comments. Appreciated. Yes, top left was a stab at Bill Sykes that I did a while ago.

Love them, especially Uncle Tom Cobley !!

Love them all Lewis. Your work is so refreshingly, amusing.

Wonderful Drawings Lewis. In the Churchyard in the village of Speyton on Dartmoor there is a grave dedicated to a Tom Cobley who lived locally. Speyton is quite close to Widdicombe. So.....

great set. especially Bill

Lewis as an addition to my comment, in Sticklepath village, not far from Speyton, I have seen the grave of Tom Pearse. ( later Pearce) Allegedly the owner of the grey mare in the Widdicombe Fair song. (Old Uncle Tom Cobley and All)

Yes George it’s a great old story and song. Way back, when the kids were little we visited Widdicombe. The shops were full of it, including some pottery figures of all the characters. Love these old yarns. This isn’t the first time I’ve drawn old Tom, I’ve drawn all of them I think.

Terrific characters Lewis, I envy your imagination!

I would like to meet Old Tom Cobley Lewis, super characters.

Great characters - I love your sinister top left. What a nose!

Excellent work

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
