Her favourite time of year Lew and she means trouble! Fabulous ;))

Ah yes, the Strathmore tan paper we were talking about Lew. Makes a great background for sketches such as this. Super work with lots of clever detail.

Thanks Carole and Alan. Yes Alan, for what it is, this little sketchbook is pretty versatile, and puts up with nearly everything I throw at it. Nearly full, I'll be getting another...can't have enough sketchbooks.

Just hope she doesn't knock on my door !!. Excellent sketch

I love how the witches finger and nose are pointing directly at your head in "ABOUT THE ARTIST", as if it was all your fault. lol Great drawing again, Lew. Bri

Thanks Tony and Brian. Oh No! I wish you hadn't pointed that out, Brian...perhaps I've cursed myself.

Direct to you from Pendle Hill (I don't live all that far away) . Great work as ever Lew, love the owl. (-:

Like your use of the watercolour pencil, it gives it a softer look rather than just using pen, great drawing full of character 😀

She is beautiful Lewis, and that cat. Super characterisation.

Fantastic work as always Lewis. Her warty nose, razor sharp finger nails, her devil of a cat even the owl perched on her hat, so much to look at and so scary. Brilliant.

Fine work Lewis spellbinding indeed

Thank you all very much for looking and your very welcome comments.

Witches, not your thing Lewis? According to this sketch you certainly know your way around the old spook. She is terrific.....I love the Halloween season and it’s fast approaching....love anything witchy!

Brilliant cat!

Excellent sketch Lewis, I do like her familiar (what they call a witch's cat).

I just flew off the handle when I saw this photo of me Lewis...you and Dennis R have caught me exactly! Lol Brilliant drawing as usual !

It's that time of year !!

According to my grandsons, the Halloween season is nigh. Not my thing, but I like drawing witches. Done at my art group this sketch was made with a black watercolor pencil, I then used a clean brush to blend a little. It's done in an A4 Strathmore tan sketchbook, 118 gsm. It holds up pretty well to this. The cat is not very catlike, but it's supposed to be demonic...but you knew that, didn't you?

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
