Delightful, Lewis. The cat and dog add a lovely touch to the moment. Made me smile.

My goodness Lew that looks like my wife’s family, excellent characters .

What a wonderful collection of characters Lew. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes!

Another good one, Lewis! Reminds me of my mother's family!!

I recognise a few of those! Excellent, and made me laugh.

Great idea and a great drawing. Didn't put my glasses on before looking so thought at first glance the character on the far left had a rather large pair of naked bosoms (quickly corrected to a waistcoat when glasses were used!) Thought that might make you smile too.

Great expressions on their faces Lew. You have made the eccentricities look so everyday that it took me three or four looks before I realised the lady, back tight, had green hair.

Great for the morning chuckle. Cheers Lew

Wonderful expressions, in his place I'd run a mile!

I'm sure a few of them will be familiar with everyone. Excellent idea Lewis, very funny.

Such a great array of characters and I should think we recognise some of them in our own families.

Superb drawing Lew, I think we all recognise someone 😀

Magical Lew, and amazing so many folk recognise them. Brilliant. The dog on the right and the frosty woman are my favourites. (-:

Another beautiful drawing Lewis.

Thank you very much for your comments. Not sure why I did this, I got on very well with my in-laws...my mother-in-law was an absolute gem. I'm not quite back to norm with my drawings, mostly I've been doing stuff that take an hour or so. That's better than nothing...but this was a deliberate ploy to make myself do something that took a little longer.

Keep looking at another character and laughing….think the ginger cat is my favourite.

What a great collection of characters Lewis, the gap-toothed manic one at the back is my favourite.

Oh dear what a wonderful collection of characters - so funny!

Oh that initial meeting with future in-laws still gives me shivers. The two gents on the left could be from my wedding album! Wonderful illustration Lewis, so much to enjoy.

Wonderful characterisation Lewis and that floor looks like its going to be CHECK MATE!

I love those little details - you don't notice them at first, which makes studying Lew's work something to be done in the fullness of time..... the odd stockings, the dog and nonchalantly smirking cat, the tie poking through the bottom of the waistcoat, the pictures on the mantelpiece ... all uniting to tell a story which ought to make the groom run for it.

A wonderful drawing Lewis, he doesn't stand a chance!

Love it! Stunning work Lewis

You they are weird? You should see my family or what is left of it!

Amazing Lewis 🙂

The idea is a miss-matched engaged couple meet their in-laws, and gather for a photo. Mixed media.
