Nice one, Lewis. I often have that look.

Haha!! He needs my face massage 💆‍♂️ brilliant drawing Lewis and u like the dip pen 🖊

Superb pen work Lew , but how did you get my photo. There are so many great sayings cots one liners in books , be a good idea to write them down.

Great Lewis. You find lines like that a plenty in some of the old American film noir movies.

A very apt description of your figure Lew; straight out of a Humphrey Bogart film.

To be able to write lines like that - takes talent. To be able to turn them into such a splendid image - takes a little bit of magic too.

It's a brilliant quote Lewis and sums up your superbly drawn character perfectly.

Great one Lewis. I feel I look like that most mornings!

Fantastic line and illustration to go with it! I used to like 'Police Squad' with Leslie Nielsen and the quote reminded me of that! Brilliant drawing Lewis.

Totally agree, Lewis. Books say so much!

Excellent pen work Lewis 😃

At my age he looks like a young man. (-: Nice one Lew.

Love this Lewis, hope we see a few more.

Yes I catch the drift, wrinkles galore, I can relate to this Lew🙄

Thanks for your great feedback, I like writers who get their message across simply, but it takes some skill. And yes, lots of lines like this in the noir crime movies...another of the things I like.

WhAt a superb character drawing Lewis and such a clever quote.

Wonderful quote and drawing

Captured the quote perfectly in your drawing - and I suspect many of us feel like this first thing in the morning.

Another great character Lewis. The face is nothing that a good iron wouldn’t cure though!

Superb Lewis

I don’t think I look quite that bad in the morning! Wonderful illustration!

Talking about books the other day. I recalled this line. A great way to give the reader an instant image in their mind, without a lengthy description. Can't remember the author, pretty sure it's Raymond Chandler. A3 sketchbook, dip-pen and wash. Text added in photoshop.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
