I try to do as much or as little as I can a day. It could be a plan of the next lino or a drawing. It keeps me going while I wait for oil paint to dry!

I thought of beauty and the beast before reading your description Lewis. Excellent characterful drawing.

I agree with Fiona - my first thought was Beauty and the Beast. Lovely drawing!

We’re all thinking the same thing Lewis. Your work always has such strong narratives and personalities we all relate to. Beautiful drawing as always.

Just wish I could 'draw out of my head' like this Lewis!

Excellent artwork as usual Lew, your skill at drawing is amazing and a joy to see. I do agree with the idea of doing something each day even if it just a few light sketch’s it often provides the push to do something more.

Excellent Lewis, I believe that you make these drawings up in your head, something I struggle to do.

Thanks for your great comments. Yes Frank, most of my sketches are made up. In fact I like drawing this way best, but sometimes get things wrong.

Two great characters - I admire your discipline, struggling myself!

Incredible talent Lewis.

It is wonderful to see what comes out of your imaginationLewis. BeUtidully drawn.

I'm trying to do something everyday, no matter how little. I sat down with no clue as to what I'd draw. But you must have something in your noggin to draw...I suppose this is loosely based on the Beauty and the Beast idea. I didn't want to draw a horned creature, just a brutish looking man. Odd how some things pop into your head.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
