Man who asked for beans on toast-small

I like the concept and, as always, the characters are so good!

I love all the expressions Lew. Definitely worth posting.

I like this Lew , as usual great characters and really well drawn. I also like the colour you have used .

Great characters as ever Lewis.

Fabulous and the colours and the long panel 😀

The anger of the chef, the superiority of the waiter, the incredulity of the other guests and the enigmatic expression of the man himself - you've created a great atmosphere. If only he'd asked for 'haricots blanc en sauce, et pain grillé'.

Thanks for the Sunday laugh Lew. Brilliant. (-:

Thanks for your great comments. Yes that sounds better and very posh Tony, I think we'll have that for lunch.

This is super Lewis.

And why not...You made me laugh ,thanks.

Don't you just love to see toffee noses put out of joint - great work Lewis

One of my favourite meals Lewis.

I like it! And there's nothing wrong with beans on toast, when you're in the mood: sorry, Chef...

Always love your work, Lewis. Thank you for your message.

Super characters Lewis. There’s nothing wrong with beans on toast!

A living legend . Lewis Cooper. Of all the artists on here I believe your work will be known for centuries. I admire it deeply. The comic element is usually there but your skill in drawing is awesome. If ever you compile a book and publish it I would buy it.

Thanks again to all for your response to this nonsense. And thank you Micheal for your very generous comment, it's very much appreciated.

Another great mixture of Characters where there is no need for words. The look says it all.

Ha ha. Love it! The elongated design is great- gives us so many more of your drawings to appreciate. I’d buy the book too.

Began as a sketch, then evolved across to the next page. Not happy with it, but it wasn't planned, so what can I expect? I like bits of it enough to post it. The idea came from H M Bateman's wonderful 'the man who' series of cartoons from the 1920s-30s...where somebody commits a trivial sin to the outrage of all. Not a copy, my drawings are nothing like his, and it's my idea...so an homage. Dark Indigo coloured pencil.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
