Trying different styles.

Superbly crafted pieces.

Really like the one on the right.

I also rather like the one on the right Lew.

Definitely different but definitely 'Lewis'!

I like both but have a slight preference for the right side one . They are different to your be usually stuff Lew , but still very much your own and recognisable.

Left is an illustration, right a gallery piece with a sort of Aztec theme. Both are top notch Lew.

It's good to try different things and I suspect the one on the right appeals most because it is furthest away from your usual style. But, Lew, don't lose sight of the fact that many of us really like your 'usual style'.

I love the one on the right Lewis.

Lewis I have no doubt that what ever you do it will be of the highest quality -see above! - and I shall look forward to seeing which direction you take your art, but I for one hope that you continue to delight us all with your sublime character creations and minutely detailed observations and of course your humour!

It's good to step out of your comfort zone sometimes Lewis. But everything you do attempt is often brilliant. I too like the right.

Thanks very much for your interesting comments...every now and then I like to try something different. That's all this is. I prefer the one on the right, I guess the other isn't sufficently different.

The one on the right is my favourite but I admire all your work Lewis.

I really like them both, but particularly the one on the right.

So different from you Lewis but still very distinctive. The RH one really appeals to me.

Thank you Fiona, Gudrun and Richard. It seems the right pic has the vote, and I prefer it too. But this wasn't about that, it was about trying a slightly different approach (occasionally).

Love your ability to diversify and your imaginative skill. Beautifully painted Lewis.

This year I want to try some different styles. Not copying other peoples work, more doing something of my own differently. Two smallish attempts here...mostly coloured pencils and pen...a4 size.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
