Colin Steed-Artist & Tutor. Your chimney stacks are quite well draw and painted Don. The persective of your roof lines at the gutters tends to change when you got to the far building. A bit more angle at the gutter line sloping to the left would help that and would be in keeping with the top of that buildings roof angle. The church spire is a little wide and makes it look rather heavy and the shadow from the left-hand tree could have come across the road more in the foreground. Having said all that a very good attempt at a difficult subject Don. Well done.

Don Montague sent in his version of Colin's painting project saying: 'A very good exercise in drawing angles. Problem getting the chimney stacks at the correct angle. Seruptitious use of masking fluid on the road markings, chimney pots, and strips on the roof of near house. Colours unfortunately not reproduced by the "cheap" camera.'
