Malcolm Bull says: 'I'm trying to adopt the Edward Wesson or Steve Hall style and not draw & paint detail. This means using a no.10 brush almost all of the time. I found this impossible with the Anglesey Abbey project and hope I've achieved a compromise using a no. 10 brush for washes and mostly a no. 4 round brush for other work. Not sure if I've got the foreground right.Seems a bit anemic. Maybe the sky could have been could have had more contrasts. would welcome any comments.'
