I've gone all soft at'knees..... I'll have to paint my old dogs one day - I took plenty of photographs and sketches, but felt they were somehow private: still, it's been a long time now - you inspire me to have a go.

I'm happy I've given you a nudge Robert, have a go and enjoy your portraits. :~)))

Absolutely gorgeous, Lala! Love the expression of his eyes, and the composition works beautifully - one oversized dog squished into a cat bed!

Ha ha Seok Yam Chew, over sized dog indeed squished into a cat bad. He tries to squish on my lap as well but there's not enough room for him and my stomach! Thank you for your comment, I appreciate your critiques very much.

Lala, thank you so much for the lovely comments posted regarding my still life...seems such a long time since I did that. Yes, I am only into my second year of painting and am learning all of the time. I love your galleries because they are so varied...you have given me inspiration. I would love to be able to do a watercolour as good as this gem! I feel another challenge coming on! Best wishes.

Arches 300gms NOT 38cm x 28cm. A large Toby squeezed into a small cat bed! This compliments his sister Alice's painting "Red Ribbon" Although I get into a tizzwozz with watercolour I so enjoy painting with it, magical. And frightening!
