Ethereal quality to this painting, and good use of limited palette. Very striking!

Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful!

Stunningly beautiful painting,. I love the limited pellet, gorgeous.

just joined painters online, your painting caught my attention beautiful piece of work.

Thank you Lesley, Jorja, Karleen and s. turner for your valuable comments which made me look at the painting from a different point of view. After your encouragment I'm going try and paint it again, on a larger canvas and using a palette knife, keeping to the limited palette and see if I can keep the etheral quality. It's a view that I get at certain times of the year from my very small casita, the real thing is beautiful beyond words.

Of course I had to choose this particular painting by which to thank you for your time in posting such wonderful comments on my mountain watercolours: it's wonderfully restrained and atmospheric! Sorry I don't see your work very often because I tend to poke about the watercolour pages looking for inspiration. I'll make a point of seeking it out in future because you have a very personal and sensitive way with oils that reminds me of my mother's. But I turned to water! You're right: I climb - but not professionally. So a few paints and a brush slip happily into a rucksack. And where there's no water, snow can be melted! Thanks again Angela.

Thank you Kim for your valued observations. I was quite delighted to read that you feel I have a very personal and sensitive way with oils that reminded you of your mother. Being inspired by so many wonderful artistsI I'm always striving to be someone I'm not in painting, . After your lovely comments perhaps I should be content to be me, and strive to make "me" better at what I do.

Hello Lala. Thank you for viewing my paintings and for you kind comments.I've spent the last hour with your paintings and this is the one I like the most. You have really captured the wonderful quality of moonlight. Other paintings I particually enjoyed are "Tiga With Baby Suki (2)", "Eric" and " A Walk in the Pine Forest. Most impressed with the variety of subjects you tackle and your use of colour.Must make an effort to reintroduce more variety into my work.

This is a very impressive painting, full of mystery. I love the limited use of colours and the misty atmosphere. Beautiful!!!

Thank you John and Mia for commenting on my paintings, it's always so encouraging when someone takes the time and trouble to look at work and write a comment. And always interesting to read what people think and what has attracted one person and what has attracted another. I always find I see my paintings through new eyes and hopefully learn something when someone has made a comment. So thank you again. I sometimes think John that I have too much variety in my work and yet on the other hand, using at least four different mediums and almost any subject that catches my imagination keeps me on my toes and striving for that little bit more. I've gone back to pastels for a change and have just painted the moonlight over Ayora in pastels. There was plenty of pastel dust on the floor by the end of it!! I think I might try watercoour next time, possibly less messy?. Enjoy your paintings
