Great simplicity Kim - I love your use of the medium

This is quite striking Kim, so much detail and colour in the centre area fading out in the sides of the paper works really well, good views of mountains always work and this is no exception

Just love the impact strength and tonal range, that comes from the simplicity of medium and chose of paper. I was attached to it straight away, great painting.

Powerful painting and wonderful in it's simplicity. Love the sharpness of the peak which is gently faded away to great dramatic effect.

I'm grateful to you all for your time and comments. It's a bit spartan, yes, but less is often more in high places. Also, there are no 'tricks' involved - just a touch of masking fluid to preserve a few whites.

Very striking; love the cold colours !!

This is 50x35cm, painted with W&N indigo on Fabriano Extra White. I'm pleased with it: the real mountain (10000ft Piz Badile) has the no-nonsense beauty and monumentality of a Giacometti walking man. Perhaps it's no coincidence that he was born just 5 miles from here...
