Comments

There are so many technical felicities to comment on here you could write a manual about the thing. I'll limit myself to just one that caught my eye - the still saturated sand: in places wet enough to mirror the sky perfectly, elsewhere tarnishing gracefully as the tide ebbs. Magic.

A change of scene for you from the city to a river scene, yet your lovely, strong watercolour technique is evident. Good use of light and shade and you have simplified what must have been a very complex scene so well.

Lovely work, Joseph. I agree with Kim - there are countless excellent points one could comment on in respect of this piece. I love the light and the atmospheric quality of this scene.

Takes my breath away at it's simplicity and it's complexity. Just wonderful work.

Wonderful watercolour Joseph. So interesting to look at and your composition is beautifully balanced. Love it.

Super painting Joseph and interesting for me to see that close up!

Thanks all for your kind comments - best bit for me is the bottom left sand which goes from under water to out of water - really happy about this little bit

So calm and beautiful, love your affinity with light Joseph.

Thank you for your kind comments Carole and Gudrun
