they look good enough to eat Joseph

Pretty in pink!

My favourites! And I am trying to cut down - how could you, lol! Beautifully painted and what an unusual subject.

love the colours and textures in these cakes Joseph and they look very yummy!

This is just great. Your composition, palette and the amount of white paper making everything so real and luminous.

Love this! Great subject.

Haven't eaten one of these for ages..will have to go shopping now..lol

Thank you for your great comments, the painting is now making me hungry for some French Fancies lol

Yummy, both the cakes and the painting :)

Great subject -I really like the one lying down with the pink colouring on the base Love both the painting and the cakes!

Thanks for your kind comments Val and Nicola. Nicola I am interested on the base of one of the cakes where the material touches the cake and then pulls away from it which I think is a nice transition from wet on wet to dry brush. I was also attracted to the luminosity of the paper.

....and you were attracted by the cakes..lol

...yes I was (luckily there were another 4 cakes for me to munch whilst I painted :-) )

Mouthwateringly loosely painted Joseph, super work. It would be easy to get too tight with this subject I should think, but you have got it just right.
