Oh, well done Joseph, absolutely love this! I've just come back from a weeks holiday which is why I've been unusually quiet and what do I do before I've even unpacked? Look you up here and find this beauty. The brushwork is superb and it's fascinating for me to see you paint like this. You've gone from one extreme to the other as your last posting was very detailed which I'm guessing you weren't altogether happy with. I find sometimes that we include too much information and here you've done the opposite and yet managed to convey so much with apparent ease. I love this sort of work as you've guessed and the sunglasses are inspired! There's actually a lot of movement here with just a few very confident brush strokes and now, after seeing this, I'm in a hurry to get the paints out !

Thank you all for your kind comments. I am putting together a small step by step guide for the Artist newsletter which shows a detailed painting and then the full painting of the above as a comparison. I think I am trying to sort of aim for the middle between something that it detailed and something that is wild. Louise thanks for you comment, you are right in a way as all I want to do is paint and I think I go into detailed mode when I loose confidence (I tend to do an incredibly detailed drawing and then just fill in the boxes). I am at my happiest when I just slap it on without a care in the world.
