.I have done many simple sketches and line drawings and they actually sell well - white mount and black frame - as you can guess I love it James - the sort of thing that really appeals to me

Sorry Joseph - where did i get James from?

Michael was obviously impressed! And I am to, lovely characterful little pen and ink Joseph

I'm impressed as well, you have a very confident way of drawing. The pen you've used gives a lovely uneven line, what sort of pen is it and I want one..LOL

Hi all thanks for your kind comments. Louise I use a basic dip pen (like a fountain pen) and ink (plenty of ink in a deepish container - like an egg cup). You can get them from any art shop with lots of different sized nibs. If you use one don't press too hard as the nibs come too far apart (I've damaged loads this way). I also sometimes just use a black biro which surprisingly can create some great results.

Thanks Joseph, I'd thought that was it. Another economical way is to use a sharpened twig!

I use a twig - just broken off and not too sharpened - the lack of control gives some great results. I have posted some of my work in the past. Now lets hope my sensitive computer doesn't post this twice !!

Yeah I need to branch out a bit Michael hehe. I might get a few twigs and give this a go - thanks for tip.

A fabulous sketch - love the linework.

Thanks Seok Yam Chew, glad you like it.

Love this one, brilliant! this ostrich is full of character. I enjoy your watercolour gallery very much...just envy your talent:)
