your style seems quite illustrastive, did you train as an illustrator?

Yes my style is quite hard edged and illustrative. I am however self taught, with no background in illustration - other than the odd commission . My style comes , I think, from an original early interest in Surrealism - which also is often quite hard edged and "representational", eg, Dali, Magritte.
