This 3D-effect combination of a beautiful traditional Chinese vase and a bunch of stylised calla lilies was produced, not as a painting for hanging on a wall, but to fill in the now decommissioned fireplace in my house . Note that , because the painting is intended in its place in the fireplace setting to be viewed from above , the sightlines are appropriately set to help create that illusion. The painting is 22inches by 16 inches, in acrylic on canvas board.
