your choice of colours really grabs ones attention and the detail is astounding wish i had front row seats although you would just have to dance to that band.

This very busy painting of a spectacular songstress "Diva" fronting a big band was inspired by an old black and white publicity shot of a very young and beautiful Eartha Kitt looking very sultry - sometime in the 50's. I painted the complicated big band first and then added the foreground figures - drawing on images of the Supremes and Little Richard for inspiration - all and all a right medley of sources for the finished painting ! Acrylic on Deep Box Canvas , 30inches x 24 inches x 1.5 inches.
