Quite often, on our way home from a walk, my labradoodle physically pulls me into my local pub so she can meet her friends and be spoilt with treats. This is a scene in the Calleva Arms in Silchester at around six o’clock when people are knocking off work for the day and having a pint before heading home. It’s a 40 x 40 cm oil painting, not my usual landscape but a very pleasant change of subject.
