An excellent painting John and you have captured the horror and destruction so well. Good luck with your submissions.

Good for you John, hope it makes the cut and raises heaps of £. It's a terrible but very good painting if you know what I mean

Horrible subject beautifully painted, John. Good luck.

Thank you Tessa, Heather and Shirley. Something art is about telling ugly and shameful stories and in that sense I haven’t been pulling my weight. This does something more than just tut at the television and I hope it does some good somehow 🙏🏼

Excellent painting, well portrayed.

Such a moving piece of work, which just shows there can be a kind of beauty in destruction. It really makes you think, and it is beautifully painted.

thank you Denise🙏🏼 And thank you Bobbie. I painted this in a random and almost violent indiscriminate way and perhaps it reflects the awful nature of this destruction? 🙏🏼

Again an excellent painting. You have shown the damage and desolation of the area. Good luck with your submissions!

Spencer you are a gent 🙏🏼

An inspiring piece of work.

That’s such a lovely thing to say Valerie 🙏🏼

You have caught the feeling such a terrible situation really well.

The thin veneer of civilisation erodes so easily and all we can do is watch… and paint so we never forget our awful capabilities. This painting is one of my submissions going into the Royal Institute of Oil Painters annual exhibition. It might or might not make it but either way I’d like to sell it and donate the proceeds to UNICEF Ukraine Appeal
