Wonderful tribute and beautifully painted Tim.

Dynamic and so well painted.

Stunning and a great tribute

Me again. You should put this up for auction … could and should raise £££

A beautiful painting of a superb aircraft, I share your sentiments.

Glad you like it. I painted it for use on a limited edition print and wanted to capture some atmospheric sunlight. Even though I sold the original painting several years ago through an exhibition at the Mall Galleries, I am so glad that I photograph and catalogue my images for use at times like this.

Superb combination of spitfire and London landscape Tim, almost two paintings in one.

Absolutely brilliant, Tim, in every respect. Bri

Great perspective and wonderful tribute!!

Breathtaking Tim. Superb in every way, just glorious.

Absolutely fabulous. It would be a treasure in public view??

That’s one of the best things I’ve seen on here. Awesome.

For some it is the Last Post or 'Danny-Boy' that tugs at the heartstrings, but for me, in addition to those, the sound of the Merlin engine is unmistakable and emotional. Seeing the flypast by a Spitfire and Hurricane on the TV today for Captain Tom's 100th Birthday prompted me to find this gouache painting I created in the mid-1990s of a Spitfire over wartime London. Thank-you Captain Tom!
