Very effective!!

Lovely painting Jenny, in your excellent illustration style!

Well it doesn’t show that you struggled Jenny! I love seeing Belties, there are quite a lot around the Borders here.

Old favourites are always good!

Love the textures and the lovely trees

It’s really beautifully done Jenny , just love the Beltie .

Very good piece in your signature style. Like it.

This really caught my eye Jenny, love the muted colours and the contrasting Beltie!

Very effective Jenny. I see a paddock full of these at a place called Evandale here in Tasmania but didn't know they are called ' belties '

Thanks very much for the very kind comments - I do appreciate all of them! (David, they are affectionately known as Belties, but their proper name is Belted Galloways. We have a small herd of them on our local heath to supposedly keep some of the vegetation in check - not sure it helps much, but they are friendly and nice to have around.)

Oozes style and originality Jenny……love your Beltie!

Great design and style. Beautifully painted. Love it!

Lovely Jenny.

Perfect.

Thanks very much Fiona, Spencer, Denise, Chris and Diane for your welcome comments!

Great composition. There is a suggestion of a stage set in this one with a series of drops in the background though it would need a brave producer to allow a genuine beltie on stage! Problems for the backstage staff……………!

Thanks, Frank, interesting comment. I hadn’t thought of it before, but see just what you mean. Belties are fairly docile, but can imagine the havoc one would cause on stage!

A Jenney Harris. Say no more. Distinctive style.

Thank you, Clive. (I’ll take that as a compliment!)

New version of an old favourite. Watercolour 19 x 23 cm. Think I might have finally exhausted my enthusiasm for painting this subject, though, found it a real struggle this time! (The colours are a little duller here than in the original).
