Thank you, everyone! I also look forward to seeing the hellebores flower at this time of year - we have one of the larger varieties which usually has greenish-yellow flowers but this year it has produced one almost luminous pure lemon yellow flower which is absolutely gorgeous.

Hi Jenny, <br />You asked me what water colour paper I used for the Hereford cow painting. I use Winsor &amp; Newton &#39;Artists&#39; Water Colour Paper mould-made acid free 300gsm / 140lb Cold Pressed (Not). Whilst a roughish textured painting assists granulation I think the key is to use plenty of water to let the pigment settle in the depressions of the paper. I also feed pigment into wet paper to achieve darker values.<br />Happy Christmas,<br />Philip.
