Lovely work, I always look forward to your paintings. The granulation seems to work.

Well I think they have worked brilliantly for you, the colours are lovely and really suit your style 😃

Oh I really love this. The greens and shapes in the trees and foreground are beautiful. I love green and there is so much depth in this painting I read recently that DS watercolours are notorious for granulation.

Many thanks Lewis and Linda! (It may not show up too well on this image, but the Apatite Green granulates into a rather unattractive emerald and black, and the other into a blue and murky green. I've used a couple of other greens here to add some variety, but used with my usual warmer colours they tend to look rather mucky!)

Thanks, Diana! Yes, a number of the DS watercolours do granulate a lot, and I usually love them for it, but these two I'm not keen on, although using them with other greens in a fairly limited palette does seem to work better.

Lovely painting. I really like your style.

Jenny, this is gorgeous, despite your reservations I think this is a success.

Many thanks, Carolyn and Fiona!

Interesting style Jenny and I like your range of greens.

Despite you not liking the greens, this is very eye catching indeed.

Love your “ stylised” work...though I am looking for some small creature to pop out. Beautifully done Jenny.

Thanks very much Sandra, Marjorie and Sylvia, for your welcome comments. (Didn't think about adding a creature of some sort, although plenty to choose from on Headley Heath which inspired this painting and where I walk my dog most days.)

Wow – this appealed to me immediately. Lovely work Jenny!

Thanks for commenting, Detlev, much appreciated.

I think this is lovely work too really like how you have done this

Many thanks, Anne!

You have a great style going here Jenny, your limited palette and carefully graduated washes work so well.

Many thanks, Frank, for commenting on this one - I had to look back to remember which one it was!

I'm a great fan of Daniel Smith watercolours, but have two of their greens (Cascade Green and Green Apatite Genuine) which I just can't get on with as they have rather a horrible granulation, although I would probably appreciate them more if I was a landscape painter. Anyway, though I'd have a play around with them together here.
