This one looks very effective. Cutting branches is ok - if you don’t follow the line it doesn’t matter because nature doesn’t keep to the line either.

Thanks, Frank! Because I’m usually focussed on the design element, it doesn’t seem to matter too much if bits of it don’t look realistic.

The design in my last post didn’t work out too well - as often happens - when I tried to convert it to a black and white image, it was a little too busy, so have reworked and simplified a lot of it. This was done with a 6B pencil.Am reasonably happy with it - now the hard part, cutting the lino, which I don’t particularly enjoy!
