Jenny, This is beautiful! The limnited colours are very effective and the painting has a lovely luminous quality.

I think you have used these three colours to great effect. I love the texturing from the cling film (I presume).

Yes, the background was done with clingfilm, I could never get it to work very well with watercolour on the heavy paper I use, but inks work really well with it, although I have to wet the paper first with clean water, then apply the clingfilm and then dribble the inks in behind the clingfilm, it produces some lovely effects that way.
