I thought it said "cheeky court" for a moment Jenny. A strong piece and well constructed buildings. My thought is that more stronger colours and darker right up in the foreground would give the painting some real depth. Also there seems no shadows on the buildings.

Lovely work as always Jenny

Thanks very much, John and Dennis - and thanks John, for the constructive comments - it was an overcast day when I took the reference photo so there weren't any strong shadows, although I admit I was probably focussed more on getting the lines of the building right! I do much prefer it when there is strong light and shade to work with, it makes for a much more interesting and lively picture.

The very thing Id run a mile from... Buildings with straight lines and difficult perspective . Your drawing looks so strong and confident Diana

Thanks, Diana! (This isn't the sort of subject I'd usually tackle either - it was copied very carefully from one of my photos of the estate for a small exhibition our art club was organising depicting local places of interest.)

Great drawing skills here jenny....it's a smashing piece.

Thanks very much, Fiona.

A crisp, nicely drawn watercolour Jenny, especially the arches on the left.

Thanks, Sarah!

Super piece, Jenny. Love the beautiful use of lines to move the viewer's eye around, and the lovely gentle transition of washes.

Thanks very much, Seok.
