(I've gradually fallen into this illustrative style over the past year or two and find it suits my way of working, as do the three main colours which I always seem to turn to - green gold, permanent rose and quinacridone burnt orange.)

The choice of colours for the sky fits perfectly with the rosy glow of the whole composition. This would make a great greetings card! Love it!

Watercolour 25 x 34 cm. First painting for a while, been busy with my art club's autumn exhibition. The sky area was a bit of an experiment - not sure how well it fits with the rest of the painting!
