And again Jem......!!

Great watercolour, of a fabulous place. The loosens of the painting adds to the effect of the weather building up.

Thanks very much!

Just come on site and like that on sight. Nice work Jem, lovely loose watercolour work.

Masterly , you get better and better both beautifully Painted.

Thank you, Thalia. I agree about plein air work. I'm pleased that shows.

Another impressive painting especially the tangle of boats.

Wonderful free style, Jem

Two superb watercolours. Well done for getting out there and achieving two great paintings.

Thank you all again for your kind comments, much appreciated!

Vibrant painting. I particularly like the sky.

31 x 51cm. Painted with some urgency, with rain imminent, I felt inspired by this view. Much was simplified down, or out, in terms of the boat boardwalks (or whatever they're called) and so on. I love this kind of subject - weather, clouds, light, interesting shapes, history, mud, and plenty of 'detail' or aspects of the subjects to draw from as much as needed. Got it done just before rain hit (and lasted all day). I had the great company of local, esteemed watercolour artist Andrew Pitt for this one, followed by a nice cup of coffee in the cafe a few yards away as the rain poured down.
