beatiful scene and lovley water colour xx

This really is top notch Jem

I agree with Michael, lovely Wesson like winter trees silhouetted against the pale sky, good stuff!

A very harmonious painting - and it looks so wet! Which of course is just what we want, given the subject... Excellent work; always a great pleasure to see your watercolours.

Always so many points of interest in your paintings Jem; textures, brush strokes. Another beauty!

Super. Great colours, harmonious yet with plenty of quite stark contrasts. Another inspiring watercolour.

Superb depth and great colour harmonies and contrasts. Fantastic

Just logging in to say thanks again to you all for your wonderful comments and encouragements! The scene is one of those one can return to in all seasons and find inspiration. It's actually a separated section of a former canal on the river Cam, southwest of Bath.

Most of us would run a mile from such a complex subject. It shouldn't work on any level, but needless to say, you prove that it can Jem.

I had to have a few goes at this scene Kim - it was quite a struggle. I must say though that I think I would find the faces you paint every bit, or more complex.

This is a beautiful watercolour.

Thank you Karyl.

So amazing balance Jem and a master of watercolour
