I was just thinking of painting a butterfly and then I saw yours posted today. This one is my favourite I think. Beautiful colours and texture.

I have mainly used acrylics to paint this butterfly. However, I have also used inktense pencils and painting ink for detail and lining. Lastly, I have embroidered some of the details for added depth and interest. Its only a small canvas so I will glue it to a 10x8" canvas enabling me to hang it up.
