‘Ticket to Ride’ by Spencer Lambeth-Angell

Charming piece of work

‘Ticket to ride’, was written primarily by John Lennon and issued as a single in April 1965. The song was included in their 1965 album ‘Help’. It was the Beatles 7th consecutive number 1 in the UK. McCartney said the title referred to a British Railways ticket to the town of Ryde on the Isle of Wight but Lennon said it described cards indicating a clean bill of health carried by Hamburg prostitutes in the 1960s.

Fine work Spencer. As ever I enjoyed the story that goes with it. Two fascinating explanations as to the meaning from the creators. If this extreme hot weather becomes the norm, and I guess it will, they'll be some adjustments we'll have to make while painting. I managed only one quickish drawing during this current spell. I was using water soluble coloured pencils, they were drying too quickly, so I was using far more water than usual.
