If you read The Artist magazine, you may recognise this image, which is featured as a step-by-step piece in the May edition. It is just the corner of a field on a local nature reserve, worked in ink and coloured pencil with embossing, lifting out and a range of pen and pencil techniques. I used Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and Staedtler pigment liner pens on Strathmore series 300 smooth Bristol board. The palette is bright, and the mood optimistic, promising better weather to come.
