The green boat, Amsterdam

Last year I was very lucky to be able to visit Amsterdam. Stumble along any street and you will discover stunning archetecture and quirky features galore. This is a typical scene which I interpreted by using a montage of similar photographs I'd taken to improve the composition. I struggled to decide on the colour of the boat, hoping that it enances the pinks and purples without looking out of place. This was underpainted bright pink first. Such fun to paint!
