In a corner of an old Victorian pumping station in Burton, Derbyshire, you will find a wonderfully ornate iron staircase winding its way upstairs to the boiler room... visit on a steaming day and the whole building comes alive with movement, heat, strange sounds and wonderful smells! Just so inspiring for an artist!
