Midday Sunshine, Aberffraw

Midday sunshine is a tricky time to paint as most shadows are flattened and colours can be bleached out, but with careful balancing of tones, layering them up gradually, I was able to sit back and enjoy pushing the sky in around the rooftops at the end - my favourite part! i'm a firm believer that the sky is an interesting shape in itself, and not merely where there isn't anything else happening.
