I remember at he driving range different types of golfer. But all of them were always super serious. Even though it was time off from work ?!! Men are weird. I made each golfer a memory I had. I'll number them 1-6, and explain each one: 1) This is the poser guy, but in this painting I made it that he was so busy posing that he doesnt realise the club will hit him 2) This is Dad, super serious and focused. One time when we were in Japan (I'll post some of those paintings soon) I brought home the most ridiculous items, one of them being a star stick :) Golfers talk for hours about golf clubs. Its so dull, so I thought id make fun a how serious they take their clubs. He also doent realise he is aiming the wrong way. Hes too busy thinking about his swing to even notice hes aiming into nothing lol 3) Golfer 3 is txting but looking to see if anyone has noticed 4) Golfer 4 just wants to go home and have dinner 5) I hated dress code, it seemed stupid, and I always said if there was no dress code id wear a ballgown :) so I gave this golfer a ballgown 6) Golfer 6 thinks he seen a golf ball in the bushes 7) This guy is just really bored bcos he actually hates golf lol I hate golf. Never mention it to me :) xx

PS I also made it a horse bcos when I was younger what I should have been doing was going horseriding more instead of standing like a weirdo with a weapon in my hand trying to not fall over on a little piece of fake grass xx

This super painting made me smile Harriet as I'm married to a keen golfer and remember myself standing on that piece of fake grass! It wasn't for me (neither was maths which I was hopeless at) but I totally get your painting and must say what an amazing imagination and sense of humour you have and so much talent. You should keep as many of your old paintings as possible. When you get older, you'll be sorry that you no longer have them. I'm not sure if you realise just how talented an artist you are. Keep painting. I love seeing your work here and reading your fascinating descriptions of each painting you do :)

lol thank you for the comments everyone, I wasnt going to put this painting up but i thought id put it up anyway :) i'll hopefully post some more hopefuly later. But im in Scotland jut now hiding under the covers bcos its rained all day here, and I was going to go out jogging along some cycle path thing but no way in this weather A few day ago we were at some place called dunure I think, so ive been working for a few days on an image from there. But if I dnt manage to put it up today, happy new year to everyone :)) xx

Days off normally involve hitting something, normally with a club or a hammer. Dad go out to hit a ball through a field then come home in a mood. Its ridiculous. When I was young I used to get dragged to the driving range. I hated it, but I think Dad thought wed play together on his days off. This picture is totally ridiculous on purpose, but it makes me laugh, esp the headless golfer in a ballgown :) Dad asked me why there was a horse on the golf course, and that this is the mot ridiculous painting hes ever seen, and I said because horse are cute, and the last thing youd expect to see when on a course is a horse jut walking by, and even this painting isnt as ridiculous as getting upset about not being able to put a ball in a hole. He shut up when I said that. I think he golfs because I stress him out lol. I made three of the golfers headless just to make it even more ridiculous :) I'll write more as a quote below the painting, no room left here xx
