Mid Autumn Legend
The mid autumn festival carries an old legend of a lady who stole the elixir that was about to be taken by a tyrant ruler for eternal life and power. The lady's body lost all weight and rose fast high after taking the elixir, and she then became the first and last immigrant of the moon. People praised her heroic act of putting an end to the suffering of people, but a poet wrote that the lady might be regretting her act while suffering from eternal loneliness in a faraway place. What do to think?
About the Artist
Georgiana Chu
I consider painting involves the discovery of one's own good self just like zen does. Each painting is another rejuvenation, and I am having lots of fun in painting the beautiful sceneries and still life in watercolour, acrylic, oil paint and water-soluble oil paint.
