Exceptional George, the whole painting but that main tree is sublime!

Love those trees and the touch of frost in the foreground George.

There is something special about the Somerset levels George, and you’ve caught it here in your super painting. Love the way you have painted the hedgerow and tree’s but also the crisp highlights of the grasses against the dark areas of the hedge bottom.

George this is superb and one of your best in my opinion . I love trees and love to draw and paint then this one I’d absolutely brilliant.

Thank You all very much indeed. I agree with you Fiona the levels are special. I spent 80% of my painting life there. Had many exhibitions there and made many good Somerset friends doing it. Sadly most of them have gone now but still very happy memories.

Lovely work once again George. I had a spell trying to paint with acrylics, I enjoyed being able to paint light on dark, as you have done here with this winter’s scene. I have a couple of old Alwyn Crawshaw books, his trees were painted in a similar way. A very effective result.
