You've used a landscape sized canvas really well, like it.

Beautifully painted, I love landscape canvases, they add so much to the finish.

Thank you for your comment Heather. It's a board shape I really enjoy using - very useful to capture a wide view and not having to include too much sky or foreground.

I can see why you fell in love with the view Fran, you’ve done a superb job of capturing it.

Thank you Paul. I totally agree. Shame I can't seem to find this shape in canvas MDF panels (only stretched canvases) which I find too springy!) , so I cut down large sheared edge panels to the sizes I like. If anyone knows a supplier, I'd love to know...

Thanks Fiona. Over the years I have painted down there a fair bit - it never fails to inspire me.

Painted on a beautiful sunny day down at The Hub, Bodiam. The Valley was flooded after weeks of rain, but it did look spectacular... I fell in love with the view as soon as I saw it and knew it had to be my subject matter. I really had a great time trying to capture the beauty of it in oil paint. Thankfully no houses have been built on this flood plain! Oil on board, 15 cm x 40 cm.
